Svenska heavy metal-bandet Hammerfalls låt Hearts on fire har blivit utsedd till svenska damcurlinglandslagets OFFICIELLA OS-låt inför OS i Turin.
Visst är det väl skönt när kanter trubbas av och när kulturella gränser suddas ut. Men curling är tamefan aldrig metal.

In preparation for the Olymic Games in February, we joined forces with one of Sweden’s brightest hopes for a gold medal: The Women’s Curling Team. They won both the World and the European Championship in 2005, and are now looking to make it a triple with an Olympic victory as well. In order to secure that, they have enlisted the musical inspiration of HammerFall in the form of “Hearts On Fire”, for which a video was recorded last week. With heavy metal as a source of strength, the girls can now focus on bringing home the gold.
The video was a blast to record, an attitude shared by everyone involved. The result is an amusing and, for us, a little unusual video. A single will be released (in Sweden only), to accompany the clip.
